we gave Sati some sweet potato two nights ago. after the pediatrician said that we could start foods, just like you said mom. well it didn't go bad but it was more so cute. she didn't know what to do with it. somehow we have to teach her how to get it to the back of her mouth and swallow.
her appt. with the pediatrician went well, looks we will be able to get a bike seat for her and take her around town later this summer- YEY!!!
she did so well with her shot-the tetanus one we got. we laid her down on the table and she just stared at us. mommy daddy and this other lady, hum, what's going on i am not sure hum, then we are just looking into each other's eyes the nurse does it at first Sati had no reaction then she was like wait, OUUUUHHHH, we pick her up shhhh her and she settles, that was it.
I have decided i what i think about this whole vaccine thing. we are doing an alternative schedule-something that makes us feel more comfortable, like we are not loading up our baby with chemicals or pokes that are like rock hard lumps for weeks, plus it "could" lessen the risk for big dangerous side effects or small ones. so i feel like we are doing our civil duty without compromising the safety of our daughter. it spreads out the shots so things are not all at once and they are more time appropriate for when the sickness may come along in life. it makes us more "comfortable" with thus whole thing
at the same time i think this whole vaccine thing sucks- just because of the diseases that we created we have to subject our race to chemicals to "protect" us from catching them. i understand what vaccines do for immunizations yeah yeah but arghhhhhhhh.......!!!!! furthermore the whole agrument that these diseases are not around us anymore does hold some ground but the reason the diseases are not is because everyone was vaccinated. so what are the people of the later generations supposed to do now
What are the people of later generations suppose to do when the people before us did something that would affect those after them. what do we owe them. the soldiers of the "great" wars, the masses that were vaccinated, and some that were vaccinated with vaccines that hadn't been tested throughly, what do we do now that we know our civilization and its behavior-("progress" as earlier generations called it) has been leaving residue on this planet, what do we owe the animal test subjects that guide humans to safer products???????????? what do we do now having this knowledge HOW do we act
